“Sarah has the ability to make you feel right at home.”

Sarah Kirwin comes from a long line of life-long Newport natives. Born in Newport and raised in Portsmouth, Sarah followed her dreams to pursue music as she studied Sound Recording Technology and Vocal Performance Major at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Living and studying out-of-state, Sarah discovered two things; she missed the ocean and she wasn’t fulfilling her innate desire to help people. Soon thereafter, Sarah returned to her home state to attend the University of Rhode Island where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Communicative Disorders. Using her degree, Sarah currently works for two local non-profits. She has been the Program Director for the Confidence is Cool summer camp at Sail to Prevail in Newport. This summer program provides activities like adaptive sailing to children and teens that have experienced spinal cord injuries or other related neurological dysfunction. Prior to becoming the Program Director in 2006, Sarah was involved as a volunteer and then a counselor since the camp's creation in 1997. Sarah is a board member of the Infinity Volunteers, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide high school students the opportunity to engage in humanitarian service, strengthen their awareness if diverse cultures, and develop a lifelong commitment to helping other by participating in projects to benefit impoverished communities throughout the world. She looks forward to her next trip with the group when they travel back to Guatemala. Being from such a big family has taught Sarah many important virtues and has enriched her love for Rhode Island. It is in her newest venture with LKRE that she is most excited to exemplify her passion. There really is no place like home, and Sarah is ready to help you find the perfect home here!!
